This year, the Limmat Foundation celebrates its 50^th anniversary. To share this special occasion with the people in need, the Limmat Foundation chose three anniversary projects in three different countries. Within all three projects in Bolivia, Kenya and Lebanon, the Limmat Foundation’s mission “Development through training” is reflected.

Thanks to the projects in the tourism as well as hospitality sector, the staff receives training to transform their current system to the dual system with parallel phases of theory and practice. In Switzerland and other European countries, the dual system is already successfully established and shows big advantages. The received theoretical as well as practical knowledge qualifies the apprentices for their field and enables them to develop their entrepreneurial ideas. Thanks to the skills acquired within the dual training, the trainees are more attractive to the companies in the labor market and can better integrate into their working life.
